Today Starzi tested 3 different liquid lipsticks: Beauty Bakerie, Lime Crime Velvetines Red Velvet and Kat Von D, Everlasting Lipstick in Shade Outlaw. Written by Denise Mueller.
Overview: Starzi tested three different liquid lipsticks: Beauty Bakerie, Lime Crime Velvetines Red Velvet and Kat Von D, Everlasting Lipstick in Shade Outlaw.
Q: Aren’t they all the same red? Starzi: “If you take a look at the images, you may see that one of the similarities is that they are coloured the same type of red tone. However, they do have several differences. When speaking of colour the Kat Von D liquid lipstick is a tad lighter than the others. Lime Crime’s lipstick has a faint scent of vanilla, whereas the other two don’t have any scent at all.”
Q: How do they feel? Starzi: “The textures differ. Kat Von D and Lime Crime’s liquid lipsticks are quite creamy and they dry really matte but Beauty Bakerie’s product dries quite tacky. For everyday use Lime Crime is best because of its easy application, easy to touch up, easy to take off but also stays on well.”
Q: Which should I use when? Starzi: “Beauty Bakeries product is best for special occasions because it stays on, no matter what. Anyhow, it is very difficult to remove, which could become a hassle for everyday usage. The liquid lipstick by Beauty Bakerie lasts the longest of all – up to 24 hours. Lime Crime’s lipstick last for most of the day but if you eat something greasy it tends to flake off. Kat Von D’s product also lasts for most of the day.”
Overall, Starzi claims that she is quite pleased with all of the products above, uses them regularly and can recommend all of them.
